About

Designing from the material up.

I'm Ivan Voo, a final-year Industrial Design Honours student at UNSW Sydney. My work sits between sustainable, craft-led practice and medical device design — I'm drawn to projects where the material has to earn its place, not just look the part.

Beyond the two lead projects

Other work in the portfolio.

Ceramics practice

Hand-thrown and hand-built ceramics work developed alongside Shio, exploring the same material-first thinking at a smaller, slower scale. See more on the lab page.

Professional placement

Industry placement completed as part of the Industrial Design program, applying studio-developed skills in a professional design setting.

Interests

CAD and 3D printing, sustainable design, and medical device design — the throughline is process: understanding how something is made before deciding what it should look like.
